Trip Notes: Your Rider Documents
All of our tour preparation materials are available online through the Biergarten. We suggest reviewing this page in its entirety before proceeding.
Rider Questionnaire & Profile
Completing this questionnaire is mandatory for ALL guests (including children). Failure to do so could result in your booking being canceled with no refund. You will need your TourCode and Booking ID from your confirmation email. Unfortunately you need to close the browser between each person to flush the password. Do not simply change the name and re-submit, as that will delete the previous responses from our system.
You can return to update your details, such as air flights, at any time before departure. The sooner you answer the basic questions, the better prepared your guides will be for your trip.
Visa Forms
Some tours, such as our trips in Bhutan & Tibet, include visas or entry permits. If your trip includes this, we recommend that you submit your visa data as soon as possible. These forms are not saved in our database, so you will need to complete all the blanks before submitting it.
Rosters
We offer an online roster for all trips. As part of our privacy policy, ou have the choice to be listed or not. This choice is made when you complete your Rider Questionnaire mentioned above. If you choose to be listed your roster entry will include your name, city, email, phone and about me details from the questionnaire. If you choose not to be listed, nothing appears and you will not have access to the roster (we figure if you don’t want your fellow travelers to know your name in advance, you really can’t expect to know their names). Once you make your choice it is locked, you can not list yourself long enough to take a peak and then de-list yourself.
Please do not use the roster as a measure of group size. Some folks will choose not to be listed, other guests won’t get around to answering their Questionnaire right away. Seeing only a couple of names on the list is not an indication that the trip will be canceled for group size.
Rider Handbook
Our Rider Handbook is provided as a pdf file, so that you can download it to read offline, print out a copy or email it to your family. It contains details on meeting places, times and travel; meals; baggage; bikes and bike preparation; precautions and much more. We highly recommend reviewing the entire document.
Overnight Stops
Again is provided as a pdf so you can easily email it to friends and family. Or print a copy for the housesitter.
Suggested Equipment
This list has both clothing, accessories and baggage suggestions appropriate for your destination. Like our other informational documents it is available as a pdf file for easy printing of a packing list
Suggested Reading
A list of suggest books from our friends at Longitude Books. You can view it online at the their website or download a pdf version.
Destination Information
We are compiling a variety of tidbits on each destination for your reference. This included visa requirements; climate information; history and cultural previews and more.
All of our informational documents are saved as pdf files, to allow the most versatility. Most web browsers now have this function built in, but some folks with older software may need to add it. Adobe Acrobat Reader is available for downloading free of charge with versions for Windows, Mac and Linux users. Just follow the link below (but please be aware that it is a big download).
