Tags are sorting values that can be added to your post. You can choose what is appropriate to your post, but obscure terms will serve no purpose. As posts are tagged the server keeps tab on related posts and displays the tags on the left side of the main forum page. Clicking on a tag will bring up all posts that were tagged as such.
To tag your post, simply enter the tag word or phrase into the box and click Add. We suggest limiting the number of tags to no more than 2 or 3. As an example, if you were posting a question about travel documents needed to visit Thailand, you might use "Thailand" and "Visa" as your tags. If you were posting about our tour in Bhutan, you might use the "tour's name" and "Bhutan" as your tags.
The tags are intended as an easy means to quickly find posts related to what you are interested in. Using to many tags or obscure ones defeats the purpose (and there is a limit on how many tag values the front page can display.
