The Biergarten

The first of our new rental bike fleet arrived in Chiang Mai recently and hit the road almost immediately with tour groups. From the positive feedback we got, it seems we made the right choices.

The new bikes are flat bar road bikes built for us by Merida, one of Taiwan’s biggest manufacturers (second after Giant). Lightweight and extremely responsive, the bikes feature a compact road design frame made from hydro-formed aluminum tubing providing comfort for long rides in varying terrain. Equipped with Ultegra derailleurs and strong V-brakes, they provide great performance in the tour.

The new rental bikes are currently available for use on our tours in Thailand and Bhutan. They will be phased in over coming months for our trips in Bali, India, New Zealand, Laos and Vietnam.
